In Sage 300 ERP, when you enter a transaction in Order Entry, the salespersons assigned to the customer account in Accounts Receivable appear on the Sales Split tab by default. You can assign portions of each transaction to the salesperson or salespersons responsible for the customer account or sale. Sales commissions are calculated when you post Order Entry invoices. In Order Entry we do not have privilege to print detailed salesperson data for each invoice. So we came up with the report to display how much each salesperson contributes for an invoice.
In this blog, we are going to discuss Sales statistics of salesperson where the user can use this utility to export the detail data of how much each salesperson contributes for an invoice by using the below Filter criteria.
- From and To Posting Date
- From and To Customer Number
- From and To Salesperson(Employee) Code
The report data will be exported as an MS-Excel exported file based on the user-specified Range of customer Numbers, Invoice Date and salesperson code.
Please refer below screenshot of the user interfaces for the “Sales Extract Report”.
As you can see in the above screenshot user will be able to specify ‘From’ and ‘To’ Invoice Date, Customer Number and salesperson code. Based on the same, the report will generate required data in Excel format at desired path which user will enter in the ‘File Path’ field (as can be seen in above screenshot). User will be able to select desired path by clicking on the Browse button.
After entering the excel file path as well as range of parameters, user will be able to export the data. Once the data is exported successfully user can access that excel file directly. No need to traverse to the path and open the file manually.
Below is the excel-based generated output of the “Sales Extract Report” report: –
This report includes following fields from OE Invoice screen and can be modified according to your requirement.
- Invoice Number.
- Invoice Date.
- Item Description.
- Customer Name.
- Total Invoice value without tax.
- Total Invoice value with tax.
- Salesperson Details [For salesperson 1 to salesperson 5] which includes :
- Salesperson Code.
- Salesperson Name.
In this way user can easily fetch the required detailed salesperson data, which serves the purpose of this utility. We can also customize this report output with required additional fields.
